Euthanasia and Cremation
End-of-Life Care
Sometimes one of the greatest gifts we can provide our pets is the relief of their suffering when they are unable to maintain a good quality of life. If this is the right decision for your pet, we can assist in their transition from life to death. If you have questions about the process or if this may be the right decision for your pet, please contact our office, and we can help to answer your questions.
We work with a local cremation service that provides individual cremation with return of the remains, or a group cremation. You also have choice of taking home for a personal burial.
Euthanasia Services
Deciding when it is time for euthanasia is a deeply personal and emotional choice. Our caring staff is here to support you with empathy and understanding. We ensure that the process is as gentle and serene as possible. Dr. Loftis and our veterinary team are dedicated to providing a peaceful and painless passing for your pet, in a quiet and comforting environment. We take the time to explain the procedure and what to expect, allowing you to make an informed decision that is right for your family and your pet.
Cremation Services
Following the farewell, Rockwall Veterinary Hospital offers cremation services as a way to respectfully handle your pet’s remains. We provide both communal and private cremation options, allowing you to choose the best way to honor your pet’s memory. With private cremation, your pet is cremated alone, and the ashes are returned to you in a dignified urn. Communal cremation does not allow for ashes to be returned but does ensure that your pet is handled with care among others who have passed.
Remembering Your Pet
We also offer various memorial products such as customized urns, engraved plaques, and keepsake jewelry that can serve as a comforting reminder of your pet. Our team can help you select a fitting tribute to your beloved companion’s memory, ensuring their legacy is preserved in a manner befitting their impact on your life.
At Rockwall Veterinary Hospital, we are here to help guide you through this challenging time with sensitivity and respect. We understand the bond between a pet and their owner and strive to ensure that your pet’s end-of-life experience is handled with the utmost care and compassion. If you have any questions or need to discuss end-of-life services, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to support you and your pet every step of the way.
