SURGERY

After scheduling your pet's surgery/procedure requiring anesthesia or sedation, we ask that you do not feed your pet after 8pm the night prior to surgery. Leaving water available is acceptable. Please bring your pet in on a fasted stomach between 7am and 9am the day of your pet's surgery/procedure.

Current vaccinations are required to stay in the hospital. If we do not have current vaccinations on file, please bring a copy of the most recent vaccinations given to your pet. If his/her vaccinations are expired, we will require them to be given upon arrival.

Most surgery patients stay over night, with a few exceptions. Feline declawing procedures require two nights in the hospital.

An estimate can be given upon request for all surgeries, dental prophylaxis, and procedures requiring anesthesia or sedation. Upon admitting your pet into the hospital for his/her procedure, you will be required to sign appropriate anesthesia/surgery release forms.

BOARDING

In order to board your pet while you are away from your home, we require that you call in advance to schedule a boarding reservation. Please remember that weekends, holidays, and the summer months tend to fill quickly. Please attempt to schedule any boarding reservations as soon as you know your departing dates. Any pet that will be staying in the boarding facility is required to be fully vaccinated. The following is a list of our required vaccinations:

Dogs:
Current Rabies Vaccination (all dogs over the age of 12 weeks)
Current DHLPP Vaccination (within the last 12 months, or age appropriate in puppies)
Current Bordetella (within the last 6-12 months, depending on vaccination type)

Cats:
Current Rabies Vaccination (all cats over the age of 12 weeks)
FVRCP-PN (within the last 12 months, or age appropriate in kittens)

Any pet that is admitted into the boarding facility that has fleas, ticks, or intestinal parasites will be treated at the owner's expense.

If your pet requires medication while in boarding, a $2.00 fee will be applied each day.

If your pet stays three or more nights with us, a complimentary bath will be given on the day of departure. Please call if you plan to return earlier than scheduled so that we may be able to provide this service for you and your pet. Most pets are bathed and dry by mid- morning. If you do not wish to have your pet bathed, or if your pet has allergies to shampoos or colognes, please inform our staff.

Our boarding "guests" are fed Science Diet Adult Maintenance. If your pet does not regularly eat this diet, please provide their regular food. Changes in diet can cause gastric upset, resulting in vomiting and diarrhea.
