Wellness Exams
We provide extensive wellness exams. This includes yearly wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite and infectious disease screening, and blood work. Our doctors will carefully examine all of your pet's body systems to detect any problems that may be occurring and to assess their overall health.
Parasite & Infectious Disease Screening
This test allows us to screen for intestinal parasites that may be present in your cat or dog. Many are born with them or pick them up from the environment. Intestinal parasites may cause loose stool, weight loss, changes in hair coat, or vomiting and diarrhea. Our findings allow us treat appropriately.

Vaccinations
Vaccines are important part of protecting our pets from disease. This is our greatest tool for disease prevention. Our doctors will come up with a vaccine plan that best fits the lifestyle of your cat or dog, to help protect them from diseases they may encounter. The vaccines that we offer are listed below.

Surgery
With Dr. Loftis and our equipment, we are able to offer a variety of surgical procedures ranging from routine spays and neuters, dentals, growth removals, etc. We strive to provide the best possible surgical advantages for your patient.
Dentistry
Maintaining the health of your pet's teeth and gums is extremely important to maintaining their overall health. We have dental equipment that allows us to take care of most dental issues. Our routine dentals include cleaning and polishing. We are also able to perform extractions if needed. All pets are monitored while under anesthesia with regular Oxygen and Heart Rate readings.
Dental CleaningWe clean the surface of your pet's teeth using an ultrasonic scaler. This allows us to remove the tartar, plaque, and calculus deposits on the teeth and under the gumline.

Dental PolishingWith a high speed polisher and a dental prophy paste to polish the teeth, this helps to prevent tartar from accumulating so quickly in the future. This part of the process also helps to give your dog fresh breath.

X-Ray (Radiology)
We have digital radiography allowing us to view radiographs within minutes of taking a film. We have the capabilities to share these radiographs with you and other providers/specialists in the area through email.
Microchipping
Microchipping offers pet owners the permanent method of identifying your pet so your animal will link back to you. If you want to improve your pet's chances of getting home in a a lost-pet emergency -- microchipping is your best option. We provide information to register your pet online or by you mailing in your application.
In-House Laboratory Services:
Our laboratory equipment allows us to perform a large variety of tests right here in our clinic within minutes. This allows us to determine the health of your pet as quickly as possible. Some of the diagnostic tests that we have available at our clinic. We offer a variety of tests to help screen your cats and dogs for health issues including:
- Complete blood cell counts (CBC)
- Blood chemistry analysis (Checks the liver, kidneys, glucose, etc.)
- Urinalysis
- Cytology and Fecal analysis
- SNAP tests (Heartworm, Parvovirus, Pancreatitis, etc.)
- All tests will give us a baseline on your pets' organ functioning, and can provide a baseline for your pet.
Boarding your Pet
We offer boarding for dogs and cats. All pets must be up to date on vaccines to board with us. We prefer our clients to call and make a reservation ahead of time, to make sure space is available. We can administer medications to boarding animals that may need it.
- Dogs: We have a kennel area with a variety of kennel sizes to accommodate all types of dogs. Our boarding animals are housed individually. Dogs are walked outside twice daily. We provide bedding, water, and Hills Science Diet's chicken flavored food.
- Cats: We have a cat area in the kennel. Cats are housed individually. We provide litter boxes, water, and food.
Euthanasia and Cremation
Sometimes one of the greatest gifts we can provide our pets is the relief of their suffering when they are unable to maintain a good quality of life. If this is the right decision for your pet, we can assist in their transition from life to death. We work with a local cremation service that provides individual cremation with return of the remains, or a group cremation. You also have choice of taking home for a personal burial.

Flea, Tick & Heartworm Products
There are many products available for fleas, ticks and heartworms on the market. At Rockwall Veterinary Hospital, we have and recommend the following products.
- Dogs: Heartgard, Proheart6, Proheart12, Bravecto, and Simparica!
- Cats: Revolution, Nexgard, and Bravecto.
